Speech title: AI-Powered Cybersecurity and Intelligent Data Systems for the Next Generation of Computing

Abstract: The rapid advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and data-driven technologies has revolutionized digital ecosystems across sectors. However, this digital evolution also brings increasing challenges in cybersecurity, privacy, and trust management. This talk will explore emerging trends in AI-powered cybersecurity, intelligent data analysis, and secure computing architectures. It will also highlight key innovations in threat detection, decision intelligence, and privacy-preserving frameworks designed to safeguard smart environments, including IoT and cloud infrastructures.

Biography: Prof. Brij B. Gupta is working as Director of the International Center for AI and Cyber Security Research and Innovations, and Distinguished Professor with the Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering (CSIE), Asia University, Taiwan.  In more than 20 years of his professional experience, he published over 600 papers in journals/conferences including 35 books and 12 Patents with over 40,000 citations. He has received numerous national and international awards including Canadian Commonwealth Scholarship (2009), Faculty Research Fellowship Award (2017), MeitY, GoI, IEEE GCCE outstanding and WIE  paper awards and Best Faculty Award (2018 & 2019), respectively. Prof. Gupta has been recognized as a Clarivate Web of Science Highly Cited Researcher (top 0.1% globally) in Computer Science for both 2022 and 2023. Additionally, he has been ranked among the top 2% of scientists worldwide by Stanford University for four consecutive years (2020-2024). He is also an IEEE Senior Member (2017) and also selected as 2021 Distinguished Lecturer in IEEE CTSoc. Dr Gupta is also serving as Member-in-Large, Board of Governors, IEEE Consumer Technology Society (2022-2024). Prof Gupta is also leading IJSWIS, IJSSCI, and IJCAC as Editor-in-Chief. Moreover, he is also serving as lead-editor of a Book Series with CRC and IET press. He also served as TPC members in more than 200 international conferences also serving/ served as Associate/Guest Editor of various journals and transactions IEEE TII, IEEE TITS, IEEE IoTJ, IEEE TCE, IEEE Big Data, IEEE CEM, IEEE IoTM, FGCS, ASoC. He also organized special track/ session chairs in ICCE 2021 Las Vegas, GCCE 2014-2021, TPC Chair in 2018 INFOCOM:CCSNA Workshop, Publicity Co-chair in 2020 ICCCN, and Symposium Chair Big Data in IEEE ICC 2025. His research interests include information security, Cyber physical systems, cloud computing, blockchain technologies, intrusion detection, AI, social media and networking.

Assoc.Prof. Ts. Dr Rohaya Latip

Biography: Dr. Rohaya Latip is an Associate Professor at the Department of Communication Technology and Network, Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). She received her Ph.D. in Distributed Databases and M.Sc. in Distributed Systems from Universiti Putra Malaysia, and her Bachelor of Computer Science degree from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM).
She currently leads the Network, Parallel and Distributed Computing (NPDC) Research Group at UPM. From 2017 to 2022, she served as the Head of the Department of Communication Technology and Network. Previously, she was an Associate Professor at Najran University, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (2012–2013), and from 2011 to 2012, she headed the High-Performance Computing (HPC) Section at UPM, where she contributed to the Campus Grid Project and the Wireless Network for Campus Hostels Project.
Dr. Rohaya serves as the Editorial Manager for Internet of Things (Elsevier) and is also a member of the Editorial Board of Springer Nature. Her current research interests include Big Data, Cloud Computing, Fog and Edge Computing, Network Management, and Distributed Databases. She has authored and co-authored more than 148 publications in peer-reviewed international and national journals, conference proceedings, and technical reports.
